The future and present positions of the Grahas or planets are compared with those of your Horoscope or birth chart to predict your future. This is the basis of Vedic Astrology or Indian Astrology. Hindu or Vedic astronomy is called ‘Jyotisha Vigyan’ in Sanskrit. It means the ‘Science of Light or of celestial Objects’. Astrology is also called ‘Phalita Jyotisha’ – is a sub branch of the astrology. Its relationship with celestial astronomy is akin to that of technology to basic or pure sciences.

It is a well explained and developed system that has evolved over centuries both in the West and East. It is believed that science of vedic astrology originally originated in India and has been practiced continuously for more than 5000 years till now. The important fact that the Vedic or Indian astrologers chosen and involved in certain tests or formulae were able to predict very correctly the career or professions, important events or accidents and even diseases, of persons whose birth details or horoscopes only had been supplied to them, proves that vedic astrology is not superstition and vedic astrologers are not humbugs. With little efforts does one realize that the science of Vedic or Indian astronomy was so much advanced thousands of years ago, that the word ‘day’ is derived from the Sanskrit root (Dagdh) fire (the Sun), without the help of a any advanced instruments or telescopes, using only our rishis’ (re-see) ‘mindoscope’, or by their consciousness, that could match even the Modern Hubble telescope in space. Modern day People cannot deny the fact that moon’s gravitational force, which shake or moves billions of gallons of water in the oceans or sea producing low and hide tides, could have some effect on the human physiology systems, that are filled with water to the brim! Even our body’s  bones are 65 percent water ! Research have shown how elective procedure or surgery, done on the new moon day or full moon day, results is marked difference in blood loss. So the cosmos, of which man is but a tiny part, will certainly have a say in his life.
